OUR Media Center
Hours and Policies: The Media Center is open from 8:45 AM until 4:10 PM each day and teachers can sign up to bring their classes by clicking here. Open checkout is 8:45-9:20 AM every day. Students are expected to bring a media pass from their teacher during this time.
Media Collection: We have an extensive collection of over 11,000 titles that is divided into 7 sections: fiction, biography, story collection, nonfiction, reference, and teacher resources. Our AV collection enriches our curriculum with DVDs and audio books. Students can access the library's catalog through Destiny.
eBooks: Students can access a variety of fiction, nonfiction, and databases through a Universal Search. To log on to this site, students and faculty should visit our Destiny site and log in using their NCEd Cloud information. Students are able to read these ebooks offline if they download the appropriate APP. For detailed instructions on how to view ebooks, please click here. Students can access a variety of magazines, newspapers, and reference works from school or at home through Infotrac. Please see Ms. Brown for the password. Students can also access picture books through Unite for Literacy. All of these books can be accessed through Destiny. Furthermore, you may check out CopeCareDeal, a resource for teen mental health.
Hold Requests: Students may request an item that currently has a status of "checked out". To request an item, access the library's catalog through and search for the item. If that item is currently checked out, click "request item." On the next screen you will enter your student ID number (the number you use to log onto the school computers) and your NCEd Cloud password. Click on the book, select "Hold It," and click "Save."
Damaged/Lost items: Books and Playaways (devices that play audio books) check out for three weeks. Anyone who checks out an item is responsible for returning it to the Media Center in good condition.
